Distorted Audio
Windows
Audio distortion can occur for a variety of reasons, including:
- Unstable device drivers
- Overloaded network links
- Overloaded CPU
- Particular software and/or hardware configurations
In the case of audio distortion on Windows:
- Disable any Wi-Fi network connections.
- Check that any network switches in the system are coping with their traffic.
- Check the Performance tab in Windows Task Manager to see if your CPU is overloaded during Dante Via operation.
- Check that your device drivers are at the latest versions.
- Stop any unnecessary software processes.
- In Dante Via, go to Preferences > Performance tab, and slide the slider to the far left.
- Tune your PC for audio (check this FAQ for more information).
